The Chelsea District Library virtually welcomes William Wall-Winkel with the Detroit Historical Society this Martin Luther King Jr. Day. He will be presenting the “Myth of the Model City,” which explores both the causes and the events of the 1967 Detroit uprising. Understanding what led to the rebellion is imperative to understanding the unrest. Additionally, this historical lecture will seek to dispel many myths that surround ’67.
Registrants will receive the Zoom link the week of the program.
