Health conditions allowing, we hope to bring READ to Library Dogs back in February! Nugget loves to listen! Visit the first floor information desk or call 734-475-8732 x209 to sign up for your 10-minute slot today!

Reading Education Assistance Dogs has been a Chelsea District Library program for over 10 years. Children read books to our friendly service dogs who listen carefully to every single word! Research has shown that children can improve their reading skills by reading aloud to non-judgmental listeners.

Children and anyone else entering the room with the READ Dog and trainer must wear a properly fitting mask.  Please bring your preferred mask to the event.

In order for all children to participate and have a successful experience, please let us know if your child has any special needs that we can accommodate. Call Edith at 734-475-8732, ext. 213.
